Download the Schlage Home application from your smartphone‘s app store. Follow these instructions to create the account.
WiFi is necessary for the lock to communicate with your smartphone when outside your residence. We can get the lock setup and working without Internet but for 100% completion on day of install WiFi will be necessary.
If WiFi is available, make sure you have your user name and password available for your router. Also, if WiFi is available make sure your router is running a 2.4 GHz network.
Smart locks require a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network because it offers a significantly longer range and better wall-penetration capabilities than 5GHz.
If your WiFi is on a dual band network it will be necessary for you to split the network into separate 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz networks.
